Vintage cinema bench seat in Timorous Beasties Omni Splatt fabric
This listing is for a single vintage restored cinema bench seat. It is one of what would have been a row of benches for the back row of the movies. Sometimes known as a courting couple seat and also used as church seating.
The cast iron side brackets have been lightly repainted. The wooden outside back and seat base have both been stripped and given a light wax finish, but still show signs of wear and tear - the vintage character is still there! The seat and back have been rebuilt with natural and fire retardant materials using traditional methods. This seat was originally designed to be fixed to the floor to keep it stable. For now it has been fixed on to a removable wooden board - but you may well prefer to fix this directly to your own floor.
This seat can be easily dismantled for shipping or moving - do please contact me if you'd like to discuss this, and to discuss shipping to further afield than London and the South East.
